Coffee has always been about more than coffee.

One of my earliest dreams was to own a coffee shop with a college friend. We even had a name picked out: Abode. To us, an abode wasn't simply a building. It was home.

As we imagined what would make our coffee shop special, we kept returning to one simple moment.

That feeling stayed with me. Years later, I noticed something else. Independent coffee shops were competing against billion-dollar chains with sophisticated technology, loyalty programs, customer insights, and marketing. Meanwhile, coffee lovers had no real digital home.

Where do people discover incredible independent cafés? Where do they track their coffee journey? Where do they connect with other people who love coffee? Where do independent cafés get affordable technology that helps them compete?

I couldn't find it. So I decided to build it.

Social Brew exists to give independent coffee the home it has always deserved. A place where coffee lovers discover cafés, document their coffee journey, celebrate memorable experiences, and build meaningful community. A place where independent coffee shops gain affordable tools to build stronger customer relationships.

Many of Social Brew's best ideas didn't come from me alone. Friends. Coffee shop owners. Early users. Supporters. So many features were suggested through conversations with people who believed in the vision before the platform even existed. That collaborative spirit will always be part of Social Brew.

And to my wife: thank you for believing in this dream through every late night, every challenge, every milestone, and every uncertain season.
